ECJIN : Second study visit in Rome

As part of a study visit in Italy from 2 to 4 December 2019, the European inspection team visited the Ministry of Justice and the Superior Council of Justice in Rome.

This second study visit enabled the team to meet the central authority in charge of judicial cooperation in civil matters, the contact points of the European Judicial Network (EJN), as well as judges and lawyers specialised in civil cooperation.

These exchanges lead to the collection of qualitative data on the implementation of European regulations in the field of judicial cooperation in civil matters, as well as to a better understanding of the difficulties encountered by Italian judicial actors when implementing the studied European regulations.

From 24 to 26 February 2020, the team will travel to Madrid for its third study visit.
